Beaches near La Villotte

Plage des Elephants

Sandy beach, mixed gravel in some places, always blue and transparent water. There is a bar and restaurant. (Eden Plage) The coast is slightly shorter and narrower than the Plage de la Nartelle.

Plage de la Nartelle

Lovely beach between Ste Maxime and Les Issambres. Plenty of wonderful lounge/bar/restaurants and sunbed hire locations. One even cooler than the other. Surfing, pedal boating and other water sports activities are of course also available.

Towns in the area


A holiday on the Côte d’Azur is not complete without a visit to the popular southern French port of Saint-Tropez. All year round, holidaymakers visit this popular village from their nearby holiday home or camping site. Of course partly to stroll through the old harbor and to taste the Mediterranean atmosphere. Saint-Tropez has only about 6,000 inhabitants and is visited by about five million people every year.


Perched on a high hilltop, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, this fortified town occupied a strategic position for centuries. The antique houses still testify to the history of the town and most of them have been beautifully restored. The narrow streets and small squares are covered with fragrant blooming Bougainvillea and invite you to stroll through this authentic French place.

Port Grimaud

Port Grimaud now has 15 kilometers of quays and almost all holiday homes have their own mooring. The enchanting Port Grimaud, with its colorful Provencal houses and network of canals, is known as the Venice of Provence.


Cogolin is a friendly village on the edge of the Maures Mountains and overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The place has a mild climate and has retained its authentic Provencal character over the centuries.


Fréjus is located in the heart of a sheltered bay and has a wonderful climate all year round. This holiday destination on the Côte d’Azur has a unique combination of a varied Roman heritage and the attraction of no less than 7 kilometers of wonderful sandy beaches.

For golf players, Sainte-Maxime is a destination pur sang. At La Nartelle you will find the slightly higher Golf de Sainte-Maxime. Golf de Beauvallon is located by the sea, more in the direction of Saint Tropez. The golf courses of Saint Endreol and Golf de Roquebrune are also a short drive away.


In the middle of the old center of Sainte-Maxime you will find different types of shops. There are nice boutiques, but also many souvenir shops, mainly aimed at tourists. Many types of markets are also held in the town almost daily. There are special fruit and vegetable markets, but also markets with clothes, flowers and plants, and there is even an art market.


In terms of nature, Sainte-Maxime has a very privileged location with the Massif des Maures and Esterel mountains very close. The nature reserve Les Étangs de Villepey near Saint Aygulf is a widely protected walking and cycling area with a wide range of flora and fauna. Discover the beautiful nature and enjoy the many bird species, including pink flamingos, swans and ducks. Hikers can follow the beautiful route Le Chemin des Douaniers, which leads with rocky coves and beautiful bays along 11 km of coast. Plage de la Nartelle, Sainte Maxime. Restaurant le Wyc has a number of paddle boards that you can rent. Highly recommended after a relaxed lunch at le Wyc to reserve a few sunbeds and to rent a paddle board.
